FUDO MYO-O
The main image, or HONZON, at California Tendai Monastery is Fudo Myo-O, “The Immovable Wrathful Master Of Mantric Wisdom.” The image is not worshipped as an Idol, nor is it felt to be a Protector who smites non-believers, but rather is visualized internally as a destroyer of one's own greed-anger-and-ignorance so that one can serve the cause of all living beings.
